Mrs Doris Appeadu-Mensah graduated from the University of Science and Technology (now KNUST) in the year 1986 with a Bachelor's Degree in Social Sciences. And pursued a Post-graduate Diploma in Education at UCC in 1996.
With a strong passion for teaching, she taught English Language in several schools namely: College of Art, Kumasi; St. Louis Secondary School, Kumasi; Nkoranza Secondary Technical School, Nkoranza, a number of Basic schools in the Ablekuma Sub-Metropolitan Area in Accra and then headed the Sempe 5 Basic School from 1999 to September, 2003.
In the early part of that year, the desire to make herself more available for God's work became so strong on her that she resigned fully from The Ghana Education Service and joined Great Commission Movement as a full time staff.
Her husband also came on board as an Associate staff and they both served as facilitators for the Youth at the CrossRoads Curriculum. They went to Secondary Schools, Churches, a few Universities in the Greater Accra Region, Volta and Ashanti Regions.
Since 2011, Mrs Doris Appeadu-Mensah has served with the Human Resource department of GCMGH to date.
She has also been involved with the International Leadership Foundation, serving along with her husband as a co-facilitator specifically with the Transformational Leadership Seminars in some Churches and tertiary campuses.
In recent years, her passion for discipling women got ignited and this has resulted in her being a part of a team of women who facilitate The Significant Woman, a life-coaching discipleship resource of Campus Crusade for Christ/Cru for use with Christian women in all seasons and walks of life.
She loves reading, listening to gospel worship music and gardening.
